Ophthalmologist

Dr Ross Agnello undertook his early schooling in Perth, Western Australia.

He graduated from the University of Western Australia  with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree.

His post-graduate Ophthalmic training was in Perth, Western Australia and Sydney, New South Wales, at the completion of which he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmologists in September 1980.

Following a year in private practice, he applied, and was accepted, for an intensive Fellowship in strabismus and ocular motility at the internationally renowned Smith-Kettlewell Institute of Visual Sciences in San Francisco, California.

On return to Perth in 1983, he resumed private practice, and in 1985 began full-time practice in Duncraig, in the Perth northern suburbs.

He continues to practise as a comprehensive Ophthalmologist, with sub-specialty expertise in strabismus and ocular motility disorders, in children and adults.

Dr Agnello has published a number of articles in the peer reviewed ophthalmology literature and has presented a number of papers on strabismus topics at national and international meetings.

He is a reviewer for the international Journal of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.  This involves assessing the suitability of manuscripts for publication in the journal.

Dr Agnello has acknowledged expertise in strabismus diagnosis and management and provides a consultation service to his Ophthalmic colleagues, Medical Practitioners, Optometrists and their patients.

He also continues to practice general ophthalmology, and as yet, has no plans for retirement!
